TERMS OF SERVICE
1. About Us
Family Reframed FZE is a private family mediation and dispute resolution service trading as Family Reframed and registered in Ajman, United Arab Emirates. We provide structured mediation, facilitation, and multi-disciplinary support for families experiencing separation, conflict, or transition. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal representation in any jurisdiction. By booking a consultation, attending a session, or instructing us, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
2. Nature of Services
Mediation is a voluntary and confidential process. We do not act as judges or decision-makers. We do not impose outcomes. Any agreement reached is made by the parties themselves. You are free to withdraw from the process at any time.
Our services may include:
virtual, hybrid, or in-person mediation
family mediation
structured negotiation sessions
child-focused discussions (where appropriate)
financial and parenting coordination support
collaboration with external professionals (lawyers, therapists, financial advisors, child specialists)
We do not:
represent clients in court proceedings
act as legal counsel
provide binding legal advice
Clients are encouraged to obtain independent legal advice where appropriate.
3. Scope of Services
The scope of work will be confirmed during your consultation and may be adjusted as your matter develops.
You agree to:
(i) provide full and accurate information
(ii) engage constructively in the process
(iii) notify us of any changes in circumstances
(iv) review and respond to communications in a timely way
We may decline or stop working with any party where mediation is no longer appropriate or productive.
We may work alongside or coordinate with:
family lawyers (UAE and international)
financial experts and accountants
therapists and counsellors
child psychologists
cultural or religious advisors
These professionals act independently, and their fees are separate unless otherwise agreed. We may coordinate their involvement as part of the mediation process. We are not responsible for their advice or services.
4. Use of AI, Google Workspace & Technology
We use secure cloud-based systems, including Google Workspace, to manage communications, case information, and documentation.
We may also use approved artificial intelligence tools to assist with:
summarising notes
organising case information
drafting internal documents
improving efficiency of service delivery
All AI-assisted outputs are reviewed by a human before use.
5. Recording & Transcription of Sessions
We may, where appropriate and with awareness of participants, record or transcribe virtual or in-person sessions.
This is used solely for:
accurate note preparation
improving clarity of agreements
supporting case continuity
Participants may request alternative arrangements where appropriate.
Notes, transcripts, summaries, and AI-assisted outputs are internal working documents created to support service delivery. They may be shared in summary form where appropriate but are not automatically disclosed unless required as part of the mediation process or agreed by the parties.
6. Communications
We may communicate with you by email, telephone, or other agreed methods. While we take care to maintain security, email is not guaranteed to be fully secure.
7. No Guarantee of Outcome
We do not guarantee any outcome in mediation.
Outcomes depend on:
client participation
complexity of issues
willingness to reach agreement
8. Fees
Fees are set out separately in engagement documents. All fees are payable in accordance with agreed terms and are subject to VAT where applicable.
You may cancel or reschedule sessions with reasonable notice. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be charged in full or in part, depending on notice given. Cancellation with less than 48 hours' notice is likely to be charged in full.
If you choose to withdraw from the process, you will only be charged for work already completed.
9. Confidentiality
All information shared during the mediation process is treated as confidential, subject to legal and regulatory obligations.
10. Limitation of Liability
We provide mediation services with reasonable care and skill.
We are not liable for:
decisions made by clients
legal outcomes or court decisions
third-party professional advice
indirect or consequential loss
We do not guarantee outcomes. Our total liability is limited to the fees paid for the relevant service, except where required by law.
11. Intellectual Property
All materials, frameworks, and documents used in the mediation process remain the property of Family Reframed unless otherwise agreed. You may use documents only for your personal case resolution.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. The courts of the United Arab Emirates shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction. Where appropriate, we may agree with clients to resolve disputes through mediation or other alternative dispute resolution processes.
13. Acceptance of Our Terms
By engaging our services, attending a session, or making payment, you confirm acceptance of these Terms.
